Director of Sales

Location: Oakland, CA or Long Island City, NY

We’re looking to bring on board an experienced SaaS B2B sales professional to work closely with the CRO to drive, evolve, and redefine the selling of our innovative and unique Consumer Analytics and Influencer Analytics platforms to senior-level decision makers. This is a hands-on role and extremely exciting, as it will give the right person an opportunity to join an earlier stage fast-growth company and be part of shaping its future success.As a sales director, the successful candidate will be required to promote and grow the revenues across principle brand partners, as well as finance (private equity) and consultancy/agency partners. Established strong relationships with senior-level executive decision makers in the food and beverage, beauty, and personal care sectors as well as an appreciation of the dynamics of these industries is important. As Social Standards is acting as a ‘thought leader’ in this new and exciting social analytics space, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute greatly in this entrepreneurial environment, optimizing revenue opportunities and help create a path and vision for further expansion.

The Sales Director is responsible for delivering an assigned individual quota/target whilst working towards a common shared team goal.

Key Success Criteria for the role
• Deliver against all KPIs
• Become an expert in the Social Standards product
• Reach and exceed personal sales goals and targets 
• Develop excellent customer/partner satisfaction, aiming to achieve advocacy for Social Standards in all top accounts 
• Maintain an accurate forecast and healthy pipeline of opportunities 
• Drive powerful and referenceable PR/case studies based on customer successes 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience 
A successful performer in this role will: 
• Plan, organize, and deliver product demos, both formal and informal to senior-level decision makers, to create the highest impact and persuasive outcome 
• Maintain high-level cutting edge knowledge and awareness of key business drivers in the relevant market sector(s) 
• Demonstrate flexibility and agility to manage accounts at different stages of maturity 
• Produce high impact proposals, reports and communications 
• Interact effectively, on a personal basis, at all levels within the customer organization
• Conduct outcome-driven negotiations, maintaining integrity and relationships 
• Construct effective account plans to manage the business and direct and prioritize activity 
• Employ a systematic approach to analyzing verticals and accounts within them to prioritize and focus Sales activity
• Construct and communicate tailored value propositions demonstrating Social Standards’ ability to deliver solutions to the customer 
• Work through decision gridlocks influencing all parties to reach agreement
